Japco has since 1994 provided companies and organisations with support and training to facilitate interaction with their Japanese counterparts. Japco’s core business embraces advisory services and training courses. Our working languages are Swedish and English. Through our network we can also provide interpreters and guides.

About Pia Moberg
Pia Moberg works as an educator and consultant at Japco, and is engaged in a research project about Japanese leadership education in contemporary Japan. She achieved her Ph.D. in Japanese studies at the Institute for Oriental and African languages at Gothenburg University in 2002. After a two year post-doc position at the Centre for East and Southeast Asian Studies, Lund University, Pia is presently affiliated to The Swedish Institute of International Affairs in Stockholm. She is also a member of the steering committee for the network, Nordic Association for the Studies of Contemporary Japanese Society (NAJS), and spends several hours a week practising the Japanese martial art Aikido. She runs her own dojo, Riai Aikido Dojo, where she is the chief instructor and holds the rank of 5 dan (fifth degree black belt). For many years Pia has also studied Japanese calligraphy under the master Taisho Akahira.
